The Buildings Of Alfred Waterhouse

Major works are listed below with links to photographs. Some buildings may (whole or in part) be by his son, Paul Waterhouse.

Waterhouse also designed the replacement clock tower for Rochdale Town Hall, after it burned down. He made alterations to the Radcliffe Camera in Oxford, Goldney Hall, Bristol and St. Anne's Church, Manchester. He also oversaw the competitions for Belfast and Cardiff city halls, the Corn Exchange in Cambridge, the assize courts in Bristol, Plymouth Guildhall, The Leys School hall in Cambridge, Barrow-In-Furness town hall, the law courts in Birmingham, the V&A in London and the façade of Milan cathedral.

At one time he lived at 61 New Cavendish Street, London.

Download a Google Earth file containing the locations of many Waterhouse buildings.

I'm working on getting pictures for the *starred ones.
