London, the capital of the United Kingdom of Great Britain, seat of the monarchy, centre
of the dissolved Empire. In September 2004 I went to visit Mr Bidwell in Hemel Hempstead,
and spent a couple of days in London. As you might expect, this wasn't nearly enough time to get
around everything. In particular, I did see:

Pip and I visited Windsor and Eton in July 2006. Although not within Greater London, it is but a day's
march away and hence is included here. Both towns are lovely, and feel exceedingly English. The castle
stands on a hill next to the Thames, and is the highest point for miles around.
