Warwick Castle was built by William The Conqueror, and largely owned by the Earls of Warwick until 1978, when it was bought by the current owners who, sadly, have turned it into something of a theme park.

The church crypt The Beauchamp Chapel
The Beauchamp family ordered the construction of the chancel and the adjoining chapels. The nave was subsequently destroyed and rebuilt in the 1700s.

The fabulous Beauchamp Chapel was built to house the tomb of Richard Beauchamp. There are now several other large monuments (including that of Robert Dudley) and a fresco of the Last Judgement.
