In 2011, I took a very long flight across the planet, and landed in Hawaii.

Captain Cook was the first European to arrive on Hawaii, which was an independent monarchy until the United States invaded in 1893.
After a few days on the island of Oahu, we decided to fly to the largest island, where Captain Cook met his end, and which gives the archipelago its name, Hawaii. There we went on an epic journey to the end of the road.
